Innovation＆Entrepreneurship Forum

It is well known that DUT is one of the pioneering universities in China’s Modern Management Education. Back to the year of 1980, MBA education in China started here in DUT. In the past three decades, more than ten thousands administrators from government, enterprises and public institutions have studied in DUT.

As a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education (MoE) of China, DUT is approved by “Project 211” and “Project 985”. Meanwhile, DUT is also one of the earliest universities that have established the discipline of management. The School of Economics and Management (SEM) has been praised as “the cradle of Modern Management Education in China, the birthplace of MBA education in China, and the pioneer of Management Cases Method in China”.

In February 2015, SEM (known as FME then) has successfully passed the AACSB accreditation, which is recognized globally as the most authoritative business school accreditation in the world. It also marks that management education in DUT has entered the ranks of first-class business schools in the world. In June 2016, the School has obtained the CAMEA accreditation, the most authoritative Chinese high-quality MBA education accreditation. And in March 2018, the School was awarded the EQUIS accreditation. At this point, SEM has become the only business school in northeast China that has been awarded the AACSB, EQUIS and CAMEA accreditation.

Today, under the background of China’s industrial upgrading and national innovation and development led by innovation and entrepreneurship, SEM has already taken the lead in launching Innovation ＆ Entrepreneurship Forum. The Forum develops in response to the trend, builds up the momentum, gathers alumni and thus builds a platform for students. It makes SEM students go even further and more successful on the road of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Pioneer, has already become the spiritual label of SEM, DUT.
