Horst Kersten Gaudlitz

Born in 1957 in Chemnitz, Germany, and graduated from Chemnitz University of Technology and Technische Universität Dresden, Mr. Gaudlitzjoined the Volkswagen Group in 1986 and served as the general manager of Volkswagen Faw Engine (Dalian) Co., Ltd. since April 2008.

Under the leadership of Mr. Gaudlitz Volkswagen Faw Engine (Dalian) Co., Ltd. has successfully transformed itself from a single manufacturing plant to a cross-field comprehensive enterprise. At present, the business scope of the company has covered all areas of the entire life cycle of the engine, realizing the integrated process management from product research and development, mass production to engine remanufacturing, and providing important data support for future product research and development through long-term analysis of components. In addition, the first powertrain remanufacturing base in China established in 2010 and the R&D and testing center completed in 2014 have made Dalian the leading high-tech production base of Volkswagen group in the world and won the title of “High-tech industry” granted by the Chinese government. The company successfully passed the ISO9001 quality system certification, ISO14001 environmental system certification, and ranked among the top 10 sales enterprises in Dalian in 2009 and 2010.

Mr. Gaudlitz was also awarded the honor award of outstanding entrepreneur of Dalian city, and was elected as top ten economic figures of Dalian city, Xinghai Friendship Award of Dalian city and Xinghai Friendship Award of Liaoning province for many times.
