Recently, DUT Faculty of Management and Economics (FME) has been notified by European Foundation For Management Development (EFMD) that FME has obtained the 3-year-period EQUIS accreditation.

This is a critical accreditation for FME after obtaining AACSB accreditation in 2015 and CAMEA accreditation in 2016. At the same time, DUT FME has become the 8th business schools in mainland China that have obtained three accreditations: AACSB, CAMEA and EQUIS, which marks that FME is well acknowledged by both domestic and foreign educational authorities.

FME has officially began its first-phase preparation of EQUIS accreditation since 2015, after nearly three years of construction and phased assessment. The peer-review team paid a visit to FME from September 12nd to 14th in 2017, assessing FMEs development strategy and targets, degree programs, faculty members and students, academic researches, internationalization level, financial management and business relationships and so on. The team also made a detailed read-through of the accreditation materials. On March 27th 2018, the EQUIS accreditation board officially approved the accreditation result to the public.

FME has always regarded domestic and international accreditations as an important means and carrier in the process of development and internationalization. FME was accredited by AACSB in January 2015. Then, FME obtained CAMEA accreditation in June 2016 and EQUIS accreditation in March 2018 respectively. The faculty has always been adhering to the principle of “promoting the development of the discipline through internal and external accreditations and rankings”, and has been continuously improving and innovating in talent cultivation, scientific researches and social services. In the result of the 4th round of discipline assessment released in 2017, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Management Science and Engineering both obtained an A-” level (It means that the two disciplines ranked among the top 2-7 percent in China).

Having passed the three accreditations, FME will further promote its internationalization characteristics and various undertakings of the faculty. Also, FME will take this opportunity as a chance to accelerate the construction of world-class disciplines and high-level business schools, and continue to explore, improve and work hard to realize the vision of “China’s first-class business school with extensive international influence”.
